Starting in version 7.2.0 and prior to version 7.5.2, it is possible to force an application to switch to SPA mode by adding a header to the request. If the application uses SSR and is forced to switch to SPA, this causes an error that completely corrupts the page. If a cache system is in place, this allows the response containing the error to be cached, resulting in a cache poisoning that strongly impacts the availability of the application. This issue has been patched in version 7.5.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-755"],"references":["https://github.com/remix-run/react-router/blob/e6c53a0130559b4a9bd47f9cf76ea5b08a69868a/packages/react-router/lib/server-runtime/server.ts#L407","https://github.com/remix-run/react-router/commit/c84302972a152d851cf5dd859ff332b354b70111","https://github.com/remix-run/react-router/security/advisories/GHSA-f46r-rw29-r322"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:11.054312287+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-43864","score":0.20475,"percentile":0.97508,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f46r-rw29-r322","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f46r-rw29-r322","summary":"React Router allows a DoS via cache poisoning by forcing SPA mode","modified":"2025-04-25T14:32:54Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"react-router","purl":"pkg:npm/react-router","ranges":[">=7.2.0 <7.5.2"],"fixed":["7.5.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
