This implies a possibility to get\nand divide-by-zero runtime error. Fix it by moving the check prior to\ndivision. This also helps to save one indentation level.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-369"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1a7cf828ed861de5be1aff99e10f114b363c19d3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/31d0599a23efdbfe579bfbd1eb8f8c942f13744d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4b4317b0d758ff92ba96f4e448a8992a6fe607bf","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/59f7d2138591ef8f0e4e4ab5f1ab674e8181ad3a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/89fdac333a17ed990b41565630ef4791782e02f5"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:43:09.190223697+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-39742","score":0.00176,"percentile":0.07036,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
