If that happens, the modelist stays empty but\nthe driver continues to register. Add a check for its return value to prevent\npoteintial null-ptr-deref, which is similar to the commit 17186f1f90d3 (\"fbdev:\nFix do_register_framebuffer to prevent null-ptr-deref in fb_videomode_to_var\").","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/40f0a51f6c54d46a94b9f1180339ede7ca7ee190","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/49377bac9e3bec1635065a033c9679214fe7593e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4b5d36cc3014986e6fac12eaa8433fe56801d4ce","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/69373502c2b5d364842c702c941d1171e4f35a7c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ac16154cccda8be10ee3ae188f10a06f3890bc5d"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:07:46.309729541+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-38630","score":0.00174,"percentile":0.06906,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
