This enables the\nuser-space to trigger a BUG() in the pinctrl-msm driver by running, for\nexample: `gpiomon -c 0 113` on RB2.\n\nThe exact culprit is requesting pins whose intr_detection_width setting\nis not 1 or 2 for interrupts. This hits a BUG() in\nmsm_gpio_irq_set_type(). Potentially crashing the kernel due to an\ninvalid request from user-space is not optimal, so let's go through the\npins and mark those that would fail the check as invalid for the irq chip\nas we should not even register them as available irqs.\n\nThis function can be extended if we determine that there are more\ncorner-cases like this.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1d57f7132662e96aace3b8a000616efde289aae1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/275605a8b48002fe98675a5c06f3e39c09067ff2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3f8fc02c2582c1dfad1785e9c7bc8b4e1521af0a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6a89563ccf9cd0d745e2291302878a061508573f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/93712205ce2f1fb047739494c0399a26ea4f0890"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:06:45.861874017+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-38516","score":0.00169,"percentile":0.06255,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
