This results in an invalid memory\naccess in the next iteration of the loop since victim_name.len was not\ninitialized to the length of the name of the current extref.\n\nFix this by initializing victim_name.len with the current extref's name\nlength.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-908"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d11d274e2e1d7c79e2ca8461ce3ff3a95c11171","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/539969fc472886a1d63565459514d47e27fef461","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/54a7081ed168b72a8a2d6ef4ba3a1259705a2926","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7ac790dc2ba00499a8d671d4a24de4d4ad27e234","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aee57a0293dca675637e5504709f9f8fd8e871be"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:05:46.678065081+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-38382","score":0.00201,"percentile":0.10055,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
