If this NULL pointer is\ndereferenced, the kernel will crash.\n\nAdd a NULL check for the returned hwq pointer. If hwq is NULL, log an\nerror and return FAILED, preventing a potential NULL-pointer\ndereference. As suggested by Bart, the ufshcd_cmd_inflight() check is\nremoved.\n\nThis is similar to the fix in commit 74736103fb41 (\"scsi: ufs: core: Fix\nufshcd_abort_one racing issue\").\n\nThis is found by our static analysis tool KNighter.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/47eec518aef3814f64a5da43df81bdd74d8c0041","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4c324085062919d4e21c69e5e78456dcec0052fe","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7d002f591486f5ef4bc02eb02025a53f931f0eb5","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d6979fabe812a168d5053e5a41d5a2e9b8afd7bf"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:22.920403922+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-37828","score":0.00188,"percentile":0.08427,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
