This is due to a lack of restriction of role when registering. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to to register with the 'wcfm_vendor' role, which is a Store Vendor role in the WCFM Marketplace – Multivendor Marketplace for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability can only be exploited if the WCFM Marketplace – Multivendor Marketplace for WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 4.17.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-269"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/mstore-api/trunk/controllers/flutter-user.php#L392","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/mstore-api/trunk/controllers/flutter-user.php#L413","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3277790","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3279132/","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/be5d86ad-f94b-4fcb-9b74-ecddde2bf29d?source=cve"],"products":["inspireui:mstore_api"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:22.920403922+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-3438","score":0.00335,"percentile":0.2689,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
