When a new Dynamic DNS host is added, the application issues an HTTP POST request to /cgi-bin/ddns.cgi and saves the values of the LOGIN, PASSWORD, and SERVICE parameters. The SERVICE value is displayed after the host entry is created, and the LOGIN and PASSWORD values are displayed when that host entry is edited. The values of these parameters are stored and later rendered in the web interface without proper sanitation or encoding, allowing injected scripts to execute in the context of other users who view or edit the affected Dynamic DNS entries.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N","score":5.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13884","https://www.ipfire.org/blog/ipfire-2-29-core-update-198-released","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/ipfire-stored-xss-via-dynamic-dns-host"],"products":["ipfire:ipfire"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:12:35.277909958+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-34309","score":0.05324,"percentile":0.92553,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
