{"cve":"CVE-2025-32421","nvd":{"published":"2025-05-14T23:15:47.870","modified":"2026-06-17T09:11:58.080","status":"Analyzed","description":"Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. Versions prior to 14.2.24 and 15.1.6 have a race-condition vulnerability. This issue only affects the Pages Router under certain misconfigurations, causing normal endpoints to serve `pageProps` data instead of standard HTML. This issue was patched in versions 15.1.6 and 14.2.24 by stripping the `x-now-route-matches` header from incoming requests. Applications hosted on Vercel's platform are not affected by this issue, as the platform does not cache responses based solely on `200 OK` status without explicit `cache-control` headers. Those who self-host Next.js deployments and are unable to upgrade immediately can mitigate this vulnerability by stripping the `x-now-route-matches` header from all incoming requests at the content development network and setting `cache-control: no-store` for all responses under risk. The maintainers of Next.js strongly recommend only caching responses with explicit cache-control headers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":3.7},"cwes":["CWE-362"],"references":["https://github.com/vercel/next.js/security/advisories/GHSA-qpjv-v59x-3qc4","https://vercel.com/changelog/cve-2025-32421"],"products":["vercel:next.js"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:22.920403922+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-32421","score":0.00805,"percentile":0.5679,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qpjv-v59x-3qc4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qpjv-v59x-3qc4","summary":"Next.js Race Condition to Cache Poisoning","modified":"2025-09-26T17:48:29Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=0.9.9 <14.2.24"],"fixed":["14.2.24"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=15.0.0 <15.1.6"],"fixed":["15.1.6"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
