{"cve":"CVE-2025-32023","nvd":{"published":"2025-07-07T16:15:22.830","modified":"2026-06-17T09:11:20.273","status":"Modified","description":"Redis is an open source, in-memory database that persists on disk. From 2.8 to before 8.0.3, 7.4.5, 7.2.10, and 6.2.19, an authenticated user may use a specially crafted string to trigger a stack/heap out of bounds write on hyperloglog operations, potentially leading to remote code execution. The bug likely affects all Redis versions with hyperloglog operations implemented. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.0.3, 7.4.5, 7.2.10, and 6.2.19. An additional workaround to mitigate the problem without patching the redis-server executable is to prevent users from executing hyperloglog operations. This can be done using ACL to restrict HLL commands.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-680"],"references":["https://github.com/redis/redis/commit/50188747cbfe43528d2719399a2a3c9599169445","https://github.com/redis/redis/releases/tag/6.2.19","https://github.com/redis/redis/releases/tag/7.2.10","https://github.com/redis/redis/releases/tag/7.4.5","https://github.com/redis/redis/releases/tag/8.0.3"],"products":["redis:redis"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:04:28.436527499+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-32023","score":0.06473,"percentile":0.93749,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
