Starting with 6.1, HTTP Inputs can be configured to check if a specified header is present and has a specified value to authenticate HTTP-based ingestion. Unfortunately, even though in cases of a missing header or a wrong value the correct HTTP response (401) is returned, the message will be ingested nonetheless. To mitigate the vulnerability, disable http-based inputs and allow only authenticated pull-based inputs. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.1.9.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-285"],"references":["https://github.com/Graylog2/graylog2-server/commit/31bc13d3cd6f550ec83473d0f8666cd3ebf50f10","https://github.com/Graylog2/graylog2-server/security/advisories/GHSA-q7g5-jq6p-6wvx"],"products":["graylog:graylog"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:57.946988208+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-30373","score":0.00336,"percentile":0.27019,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-q7g5-jq6p-6wvx","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-q7g5-jq6p-6wvx","summary":"Graylog's Authenticated HTTP inputs ingest message even if Authorization header is missing or has wrong value","modified":"2025-05-07T15:16:44.106738Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.graylog2:graylog2-server","purl":"pkg:maven/org.graylog2/graylog2-server","ranges":[">=6.1.0 <6.1.9"],"fixed":["6.1.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
