{"cve":"CVE-2025-27555","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-24T10:16:02.917","modified":"2026-06-17T09:03:47.733","status":"Modified","description":"Airflow versions before 2.11.1 have a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with audit log access to see sensitive values in audit logs which they should not see. When sensitive connection parameters were set via airflow CLI, values of those variables appeared in the audit log and were stored unencrypted in the Airflow database. While this risk is limited to users with audit log access, it is recommended to upgrade to Airflow 2.11.1 or a later version, which addresses this issue. Users who previously used the CLI to set connections should manually delete entries with those connection sensitive values from the log table. This is similar but not the same issue as CVE-2024-50378","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-532"],"references":["https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/61882","https://lists.apache.org/thread/nxovkp319jo8vg498gql1yswtb2frbkw"],"products":["apache:airflow"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-27555","score":0.00419,"percentile":0.36227,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8r55-rv5w-6pfm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8r55-rv5w-6pfm","summary":"Apache Airflow exposes sensitive information in its log files","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:34.634194256Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"apache-airflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/apache-airflow","ranges":["<2.11.1"],"fixed":["2.11.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2347","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2347","summary":"Apache Airflow exposes sensitive information in its log files","modified":"2026-07-13T16:42:48.842722104Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"apache-airflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/apache-airflow","ranges":["<2.11.1"],"fixed":["2.11.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
