The API endpoint related to the password reset function is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting. The endpoint /api/v1/db/auth/password/reset/:tokenId is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting. The flaw occurs due to implementation of the client-side template engine ejs, specifically on file resetPassword.ts where the template is using the insecure function “<%-“, which is rendered by the function renderPasswordReset. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.258.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/blob/ba5a191b33259d984fc92df225f7d82ede2ddb56/packages/nocodb/src/modules/auth/auth.controller.ts#L251","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/blob/ba5a191b33259d984fc92df225f7d82ede2ddb56/packages/nocodb/src/modules/auth/ui/auth/resetPassword.ts#L71","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/commit/ea821edb133e621e26183ae65c8ff9ee5d6f2723","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/security/advisories/GHSA-wf6c-hrhf-86cw"],"products":["nocodb:nocodb"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:17.429720821+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-27506","score":0.00711,"percentile":0.53582,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wf6c-hrhf-86cw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wf6c-hrhf-86cw","summary":"NocoDB Vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting on Reset Password Page","modified":"2025-08-26T15:39:59Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nocodb","purl":"pkg:npm/nocodb","ranges":["<0.258.0"],"fixed":["0.258.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
