The issue occurs when passing absolute URLs rather than protocol-relative URLs to axios. Even if baseURL is set, axios sends the request to the specified absolute URL, potentially causing SSRF and credential leakage. This issue impacts both server-side and client-side usage of axios. This issue is fixed in 1.8.2.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":7.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/axios/axios/issues/6463","https://github.com/axios/axios/security/advisories/GHSA-jr5f-v2jv-69x6","https://github.com/axios/axios/security/advisories/GHSA-jr5f-v2jv-69x6"],"products":["axios:axios"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:17.429720821+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-27152","score":0.00792,"percentile":0.56327,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jr5f-v2jv-69x6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jr5f-v2jv-69x6","summary":"axios Requests Vulnerable To Possible SSRF and Credential Leakage via Absolute URL","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:56.787685282Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"axios","purl":"pkg:npm/axios","ranges":[">=1.0.0 <1.8.2"],"fixed":["1.8.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"axios","purl":"pkg:npm/axios","ranges":["<0.30.0"],"fixed":["0.30.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
