{"cve":"CVE-2025-2559","nvd":{"published":"2025-03-25T09:15:17.047","modified":"2026-09-21T06:17:00.170","status":"Deferred","description":"A flaw was found in Keycloak. When the configuration uses JWT tokens for authentication, the tokens are cached until expiration. If a client uses JWT tokens with an excessively long expiration time, for example, 24 or 48 hours, the cache can grow indefinitely, leading to an OutOfMemoryError. This issue could result in a denial of service condition, preventing legitimate users from accessing the system.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":4.9},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:4335","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:4336","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2025-2559","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2353868","https://github.com/keycloak/keycloak/commit/a10c8119d4452b866b90a9019b2cc159919276ca"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:28.034033815+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-2559","score":0.00703,"percentile":0.53288,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2935-2wfm-hhpv","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2935-2wfm-hhpv","summary":"Keycloak Denial of Service (DoS) Vulnerability via JWT Token Cache","modified":"2025-04-30T04:19:27.305829Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.keycloak:keycloak-services","purl":"pkg:maven/org.keycloak/keycloak-services","ranges":["<=26.1.4"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
