When authorization to control management operations is secured using the Role Based Access Control provider, a user without the required privileges can suspend or resume the server. A user with a Monitor or Auditor role is supposed to have only read access permissions and should not be able to suspend the server. \nThe vulnerability is caused by the Suspend and Resume handlers not performing authorization checks to validate whether the current user has the required permissions to proceed with the action.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:3465","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:3467","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:3989","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:3990","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:3992"],"products":["redhat:jboss_enterprise_application_platform","redhat:wildfly"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:58:41.599736885+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-23367","score":0.00774,"percentile":0.55755,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qr6x-62gq-4ccp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qr6x-62gq-4ccp","summary":"WildFly improper RBAC permission","modified":"2025-12-08T20:07:35.085775Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.wildfly.core:wildfly-server","purl":"pkg:maven/org.wildfly.core/wildfly-server","ranges":["<27.0.1.Final"],"fixed":["27.0.1.Final"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.wildfly.core:wildfly-server","purl":"pkg:maven/org.wildfly.core/wildfly-server","ranges":[">=28.0.0.Beta1 <28.0.0.Beta2"],"fixed":["28.0.0.Beta2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
