If the device removed, or in the error\npath for device probing, the MMIO space is released but no unmap is done.\nConsequently the kernel address space for the mapping is leaked.\n\nFix this by adding iounmap() calls in the device removal path, and in the\nerror path during device probing.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/158242b56bf465a73e1edeac0fe828a8acad4499","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/24f1bbfb2be77dad82489c1468bbb14312aab129","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ad27b4a51495490b815580d9b935e8eee14d1a9c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aed709355fd05ef747e1af24a1d5d78cd7feb81e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c40cd24bfb9bfbb315c118ca14ebe6cf52e2dd1e"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:57.946988208+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-21978","score":0.00194,"percentile":0.09093,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
