{"cve":"CVE-2025-14657","nvd":{"published":"2026-01-09T08:15:57.487","modified":"2026-06-17T08:36:21.223","status":"Deferred","description":"The Eventin – Event Manager, Events Calendar, Event Tickets and Registrations plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the 'post_settings' function in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.51. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify plugin settings. Furthermore, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'etn_primary_color' setting, this enables unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses a page where Eventin styles are loaded.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3429942/wp-event-solution/trunk/base/Enqueue/register.php?old=3390273&old_path=wp-event-solution%2Ftrunk%2Fbase%2FEnqueue%2Fregister.php","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3429942/wp-event-solution/trunk/base/api-handler.php?old=3390273&old_path=wp-event-solution%2Ftrunk%2Fbase%2Fapi-handler.php","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3429942/wp-event-solution/trunk/core/event/api.php?old=3390273&old_path=wp-event-solution%2Ftrunk%2Fcore%2Fevent%2Fapi.php","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/e4188b26-80f8-41b8-be19-1ddcbd7e39f5?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-14657","score":0.00333,"percentile":0.26604,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
