{"cve":"CVE-2025-11919","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-26T16:16:29.193","modified":"2026-09-29T19:10:00.160","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"The default JVM can access files and directories under `/tmp/` including the `$TemporaryDirectory` of other users on the same cloud instance (`/tmp/UserTemporaryFiles/`). The `-init` file for the the JVM initialization exists in the vulnerable directory during the startup of the JVM. An attacker with access to the shared `/tmp/` space can preemptively create or replace `.jar` files or directories (via the `-init` file) that the victim JVM will resolve first in its classpath. By strategically placing a malicious version of a commonly used library (e.g., `commons-io`) in a location that is included in the classpath before the legitimate version, an attacker can cause the JVM to load the malicious class during startup, thereby executing the attacker's code.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.6},"cwes":[],"references":["https://github.com/PeterRoberge/vulnerability-wolfram-cloud-14.2/blob/main/disclosure.md","https://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/553375","https://github.com/PeterRoberge/vulnerability-wolfram-cloud-14.2/blob/main/disclosure.md"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-11919","score":0.00487,"percentile":0.41938,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
