In addition, the attacker must  have write access to a \nconfiguration file. Alternatively, the attacker could inject a malicious \nenvironment variable pointing to a malicious configuration file. In both \ncases, the attack requires existing privilege.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N/S:P/AU:N/RE:M/U:Green","score":7.0},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-20"],"references":["https://logback.qos.ch/news.html#1.3.16","https://logback.qos.ch/news.html#1.5.19"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:11:26.888974865+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-11226","score":0.00194,"percentile":0.08952,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-25qh-j22f-pwp8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-25qh-j22f-pwp8","summary":"QOS.CH logback-core is vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Execution through file processing","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:29.081250287Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"ch.qos.logback:logback-core","purl":"pkg:maven/ch.qos.logback/logback-core","ranges":[">=1.4.0 <1.5.19"],"fixed":["1.5.19"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"ch.qos.logback:logback-core","purl":"pkg:maven/ch.qos.logback/logback-core","ranges":["<1.3.16"],"fixed":["1.3.16"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
