When an Active Directory user resets their password, the system updates it without performing an LDAP bind to validate the new credentials against AD. This vulnerability allows users whose AD accounts are expired or disabled to regain access in Keycloak, bypassing AD restrictions. The issue enables authentication bypass and could allow unauthorized access under certain conditions.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:2544","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2025:2545","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2025-0604","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2338993"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:58:41.599736885+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-0604","score":0.00701,"percentile":0.53216,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2p82-5wwr-43cw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2p82-5wwr-43cw","summary":"Authentication Bypass Due to Missing LDAP Bind After Password Reset in Keycloak","modified":"2026-08-07T08:12:06.487601286Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.keycloak:keycloak-ldap-federation","purl":"pkg:maven/org.keycloak/keycloak-ldap-federation","ranges":[">=26.1.0 <26.1.3"],"fixed":["26.1.3"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.keycloak:keycloak-ldap-federation","purl":"pkg:maven/org.keycloak/keycloak-ldap-federation","ranges":["<26.0.10"],"fixed":["26.0.10"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
