{"cve":"CVE-2024-8113","nvd":{"published":"2024-08-23T15:15:17.593","modified":"2026-06-17T08:21:55.040","status":"Analyzed","description":"Stored XSS in organizer and event settings of pretix up to 2024.7.0 allows malicious event organizers to inject HTML tags into e-mail previews on settings page. The default Content Security Policy of pretix prevents execution of attacker-provided scripts, making exploitation unlikely. However, combined with a CSP bypass (which is not currently known) the vulnerability could be used to impersonate other organizers or staff users.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:H/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/R:U/RE:L/U:Green","score":7.2},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://pretix.eu/about/en/blog/20240823-release-2024-7-1/"],"products":["pretix:pretix"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:54:16.205165117+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-8113","score":0.00324,"percentile":0.25507,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-45rp-q25w-4426","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-45rp-q25w-4426","summary":"pretix Stored Cross-site Scripting vulnerability","modified":"2025-01-21T18:26:22.466884Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pretix","purl":"pkg:pypi/pretix","ranges":["<2024.7.1"],"fixed":["2024.7.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2024-180","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2024-180","summary":"","modified":"2026-06-10T17:01:35.966375954Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pretix","purl":"pkg:pypi/pretix","ranges":["<2024.7.1"],"fixed":["2024.7.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
