This vulnerability allows users to specify the `api_base` parameter when making requests to `POST /chat/completions`, causing the application to send the request to the domain specified by `api_base`. This request includes the OpenAI API key. A malicious user can set the `api_base` to their own domain and intercept the OpenAI API key, leading to unauthorized access and potential misuse of the API key.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/berriai/litellm/commit/ba1912afd1b19e38d3704bb156adf887f91ae1e0","https://huntr.com/bounties/4001e1a2-7b7a-4776-a3ae-e6692ec3d997"],"products":["litellm:litellm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:54:38.012257375+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-6587","score":0.34375,"percentile":0.98411,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g26j-5385-hhw3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g26j-5385-hhw3","summary":"LiteLLM Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:56.061352411Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"litellm","purl":"pkg:pypi/litellm","ranges":["<1.44.8"],"fixed":["1.44.8"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-1547","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-1547","summary":"LiteLLM Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-07T17:47:30.584958775Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"litellm","purl":"pkg:pypi/litellm","ranges":["<1.44.8"],"fixed":["1.44.8"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
