{"cve":"CVE-2024-6581","nvd":{"published":"2024-10-29T13:15:07.840","modified":"2026-06-17T08:18:17.043","status":"Analyzed","description":"A vulnerability in the discussion image upload function of the Lollms application, version v9.9, allows for the uploading of SVG files. Due to incomplete filtering in the sanitize_svg function, this can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities, which in turn pose a risk of remote code execution. The sanitize_svg function only removes script elements and 'on*' event attributes, but does not account for other potential vectors for XSS within SVG files. This vulnerability can be exploited when authorized users access a malicious URL containing the crafted SVG file.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.0},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/parisneo/lollms/commit/328b960a0de2097e13654ac752253e9541521ddd","https://huntr.com/bounties/ad68ecd6-44e2-449b-8e7e-f2b71b1b43c7"],"products":["lollms:lord_of_large_language_models"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:56:33.105311382+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-6581","score":0.00654,"percentile":0.51339,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cm59-8rmv-f2cj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cm59-8rmv-f2cj","summary":"Lollms vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting","modified":"2024-11-04T14:00:55.332936Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"lollms","purl":"pkg:pypi/lollms","ranges":["<=9.5.1"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2024-116","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2024-116","summary":"","modified":"2026-06-10T17:02:21.021878364Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"lollms","purl":"pkg:pypi/lollms","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
