This is due to missing nonce validation and the plugin not properly validating a file or its path prior to deleting it in the 'wp_cf7_pdf_dashboard_html_page' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files, including the wp-config.php file, which can make site takeover and remote code execution possible via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/generate-pdf-using-contact-form-7/tags/4.0.6/inc/templates/cf7-pdf-generation.admin.html.php#L74","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3146943/generate-pdf-using-contact-form-7","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/455b9695-e140-4bdb-b626-5c1695518563?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/generate-pdf-using-contact-form-7/tags/4.0.6/inc/templates/cf7-pdf-generation.admin.html.php#L74","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/455b9695-e140-4bdb-b626-5c1695518563?source=cve"],"products":["zealousweb:generate_pdf_using_contact_form_7"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:42.518321223+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-6317","score":0.006,"percentile":0.48709,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
