This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, who have permissions to upload sanitized files, to bypass SVG sanitization and inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. A bypass to the patch in version 4.3 was discovered and fixed completely in version 4.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-svg-images/trunk/wp-svg-images.php#L111","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-svg-images/trunk/wp-svg-images.php#L313","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3105276/","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3227378%40wp-svg-images&new=3227378%40wp-svg-images&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/389d96e9-1fad-49a6-89b6-8f7f108d8117?source=cve"],"products":["kubiq:wp_svg_images"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:00.836172422+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-5945","score":0.00328,"percentile":0.25948,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
