The warning triggers from the legacy fallback stub.\n\nThat warning is bogus as the PCI/MSI layer knows whether a PCI/MSI parent\ndomain is associated with the device or not. There is a check for MSI-X,\nwhich has a legacy assumption. But that legacy fallback assumption is only\nvalid when legacy support is enabled, but otherwise the check should simply\nreturn -ENOTSUPP.\n\nLoongarch tripped over the same problem and blindly enabled legacy support\nwithout implementing the legacy fallbacks. There are weak implementations\nwhich return an error, so the problem was papered over.\n\nCorrect pci_msi_domain_supports() to evaluate the legacy mode and add\nthe missing supported check into the MSI enable path to complete it.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a60b990798eb17433d0283788280422b1bd94b18","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aed157301c659a48f5564cc4568cf0e5c8831af0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b1f7476e07b93d65a1a3643dcb4a7bed80d4328d"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:56.913276502+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-56760","score":0.00206,"percentile":0.10665,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
