Prior to version 1.4.3, an attacker can write a malicious expression that escapes the sandbox to execute arbitrary code on the system. With a more complex (undisclosed) payload, one can get full access to Arbitrary code execution on the system. The problem has been patched in version 1.4.3 of Angular Expressions. Two possible workarounds are available. One may either disable access to `__proto__` globally or make sure that one uses the function with just one argument.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/peerigon/angular-expressions/commit/97f7ad94006156eeb97fc942332578b6cfbf8eef","https://github.com/peerigon/angular-expressions/security/advisories/GHSA-5462-4vcx-jh7j"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:36.180738747+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-54152","score":0.02242,"percentile":0.82848,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-5462-4vcx-jh7j","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-5462-4vcx-jh7j","summary":"Angular Expressions - Remote Code Execution when using locals","modified":"2024-12-10T20:59:46Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"angular-expressions","purl":"pkg:npm/angular-expressions","ranges":["<1.4.3"],"fixed":["1.4.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
