This turns out to be because the radix tree\nof the IDR contains only internal radix-tree nodes and it is this that\ncauses idr_is_empty to return false. The internal nodes are cleaned by\nidr_destroy.\n\nUse idr_for_each to check that the IDR is empty instead of\nidr_is_empty to avoid the problem.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5d066766c5f1252f98ff859265bcd1a5b52ac46c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a487cc8986d6dd75b60b59004f3bd2ea9b4dd541"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:56.913276502+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-53211","score":0.00189,"percentile":0.08555,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
