After commit 24a9799aa8ef (\"smb: client: fix UAF\nin smb2_reconnect_server()\"), we made sure to call ->logoff() only\nwhen @ses was known to be good (e.g. valid ->auth_key.response), so\nit's safe to access signing key when @ses->ses_status == SES_EXITING.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0944c2596c2a3442735b5bb6714a17a16188a68f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0e2b654a3848bf9da3b0d54c1ccf3f1b8c635591","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/343d7fe6df9e247671440a932b6a73af4fa86d95","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/39619c65ab4bbb3e78c818f537687653e112764d"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-30T13:47:47.119061695+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-53179","score":0.00604,"percentile":0.48863,"date":"2026-10-30"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
