{"cve":"CVE-2024-52304","nvd":{"published":"2024-11-18T21:15:06.500","modified":"2026-06-17T08:06:58.633","status":"Modified","description":"aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to version 3.10.11, the Python parser parses newlines in chunk extensions incorrectly which can lead to request smuggling vulnerabilities under certain conditions. If a pure Python version of aiohttp is installed (i.e. without the usual C extensions) or `AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS` is enabled, then an attacker may be able to execute a request smuggling attack to bypass certain firewalls or proxy protections. Version 3.10.11 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-444"],"references":["https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/commit/259edc369075de63e6f3a4eaade058c62af0df71","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/security/advisories/GHSA-8495-4g3g-x7pr","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2025/02/msg00002.html"],"products":["aiohttp:aiohttp"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:34.731061660+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-52304","score":0.00563,"percentile":0.46846,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8495-4g3g-x7pr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8495-4g3g-x7pr","summary":"aiohttp allows request smuggling due to incorrect parsing of chunk extensions","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:20.487002605Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiohttp","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiohttp","ranges":["<3.10.11"],"fixed":["3.10.11"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-1103","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-1103","summary":"aiohttp allows request smuggling due to incorrect parsing of chunk extensions","modified":"2026-07-07T17:46:25.745431925Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiohttp","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiohttp","ranges":["<3.10.11"],"fixed":["3.10.11"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
