{"cve":"CVE-2024-5208","nvd":{"published":"2024-06-19T06:15:11.420","modified":"2026-06-17T08:15:24.930","status":"Modified","description":"An uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability exists in the `upload-link` endpoint of mintplex-labs/anything-llm. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a denial of service (DOS) by shutting down the server through sending invalid upload requests. Specifically, the server can be made to shut down by sending an empty body with a 'Content-Length: 0' header or by sending a body with arbitrary content, such as 'asdasdasd', with a 'Content-Length: 9' header. The vulnerability is reproducible by users with at least a 'Manager' role, sending a crafted request to any workspace. This issue indicates that a previous fix was not effective in mitigating the vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/mintplex-labs/anything-llm/commit/e2439c6d4c3cfdacd96cd1b7b92d1f89c3cc8459","https://huntr.com/bounties/6c8bdfa1-ec56-4b02-bde9-cfc27470e6ca","https://github.com/mintplex-labs/anything-llm/commit/e2439c6d4c3cfdacd96cd1b7b92d1f89c3cc8459","https://huntr.com/bounties/6c8bdfa1-ec56-4b02-bde9-cfc27470e6ca"],"products":["mintplexlabs:anythingllm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:00.836172422+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-5208","score":0.00618,"percentile":0.4961,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
