The calculation is actually unnecessary at all because 'goal' is\na constant of value 10,000. Calculation of 'compensation' is again\nfragile to overflow. Final calculation of return value for under-achiving\ncase is again fragile to overflow when the current score is\nunder-achieving the target.\n\nAdd two corner cases handling at the beginning of the function to make the\nbody easier to read, and rewrite the body of the function to avoid\noverflows and the unnecessary bp value calcuation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-190"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d339a1f0f16ff5dea58e612ff336f0be0d041e9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4401e9d10ab0281a520b9f8c220f30f60b5c248f"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:34.731061660+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-50270","score":0.00199,"percentile":0.09707,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
