Fix this problem and correctly subtract\nvariable len.\n\nMember InodeType is present only when reparse buffer is large enough. Check\nfor ReparseDataLength before accessing InodeType to prevent another invalid\nmemory access.\n\nMajor and minor rdev values are present also only when reparse buffer is\nlarge enough. Check for reparse buffer size before calling reparse_mkdev().","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-120"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/01cdddde39b065074fd48f07027757783cbf5b7d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/73b078e3314d4854fd8286f3ba65c860ddd3a3dd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7b222d6cb87077faf56a687a72af1951cf78c8a9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/803b3a39cb096d8718c0aebc03fd19f11c7dc919","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c173d47b69f07cd7ca08efb4e458adbd4725d8e9"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:56:33.105311382+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-49996","score":0.00789,"percentile":0.5624,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
