A vulnerability has been identified in Rasa that enables an attacker who has the ability to load a maliciously crafted model remotely into a Rasa instance to achieve Remote Code Execution. The prerequisites for this are: 1. The HTTP API must be enabled on the Rasa instance eg with `--enable-api`. This is not the default configuration. 2. For unauthenticated RCE to be exploitable, the user must not have configured any authentication or other security controls recommended in our documentation. 3. For authenticated RCE, the attacker must posses a valid authentication token or JWT to interact with the Rasa API. This issue has been addressed in rasa version 3.6.21 and all users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should ensure that they require authentication and that only trusted users are given access.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.0},"cwes":["CWE-94","CWE-502"],"references":["https://github.com/RasaHQ/rasa-pro-security-advisories/security/advisories/GHSA-cpv4-ggrr-7j9v"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:58:20.756570362+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-49375","score":0.00937,"percentile":0.60863,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cpv4-ggrr-7j9v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cpv4-ggrr-7j9v","summary":"Rasa Allows Remote Code Execution via Remote Model Loading","modified":"2026-06-29T12:26:14.797946253Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa-pro","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa-pro","ranges":[">=3.10.0 <3.10.12"],"fixed":["3.10.12"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa-pro","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa-pro","ranges":[">=3.9.0 <3.9.16"],"fixed":["3.9.16"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa-pro","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa-pro","ranges":["<3.8.18"],"fixed":["3.8.18"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa","ranges":["<3.6.21"],"fixed":["3.6.21"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-513","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-513","summary":"Rasa Allows Remote Code Execution via Remote Model Loading","modified":"2026-07-01T20:23:03.548254Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa","ranges":["<3.6.21"],"fixed":["3.6.21"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-514","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-514","summary":"Rasa Allows Remote Code Execution via Remote Model Loading","modified":"2026-07-01T20:23:03.517990Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"rasa-pro","purl":"pkg:pypi/rasa-pro","ranges":["<3.8.18"],"fixed":["3.8.18"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
