This can be leveraged to gain access to higher-privilege endpoints, e.g. if you get a user with admin privileges to run the code, you can potentially elevate all users and grant them admin privileges or access protected content. Versions 14.3.1 and 15.0.0 contain a patch. As a workaround, ensure that access to the Dictionary section is only granted to trusted users.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.7},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/security/advisories/GHSA-c5g6-6xf7-qxp3"],"products":["umbraco:umbraco_cms"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:56:33.105311382+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-47819","score":0.0035,"percentile":0.2867,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-c5g6-6xf7-qxp3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-c5g6-6xf7-qxp3","summary":"Umbraco CMS vulnerable to stored Cross-site Scripting in the \"dictionary name\" on Dictionary section","modified":"2024-10-22T19:32:47.036714Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"NuGet","name":"Umbraco.Cms.StaticAssets","purl":"pkg:nuget/Umbraco.Cms.StaticAssets","ranges":[">=14.0.0 <14.3.1"],"fixed":["14.3.1"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@umbraco-cms/backoffice","purl":"pkg:npm/%40umbraco-cms/backoffice","ranges":[">=14.0.0 <14.3.1"],"fixed":["14.3.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
