{"cve":"CVE-2024-4680","nvd":{"published":"2024-06-08T20:15:52.347","modified":"2026-06-17T08:02:24.063","status":"Modified","description":"A vulnerability in zenml-io/zenml version 0.56.3 allows attackers to reuse old session credentials or session IDs due to insufficient session expiration. Specifically, the session does not expire after a password change, enabling an attacker to maintain access to a compromised account without the victim's ability to revoke this access. This issue was observed in a self-hosted ZenML deployment via Docker, where after changing the password from one browser, the session remained active and usable in another browser without requiring re-authentication.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-613"],"references":["https://huntr.com/bounties/c88f6bd2-490d-4930-98dd-03651b20230a","https://huntr.com/bounties/c88f6bd2-490d-4930-98dd-03651b20230a"],"products":["zenml:zenml"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:51:20.603330631+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-4680","score":0.00408,"percentile":0.35132,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-99hm-86h7-gr3g","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-99hm-86h7-gr3g","summary":"zenml-io/zenml does not expire the session after password reset","modified":"2026-07-07T17:56:49.330658541Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"zenml","purl":"pkg:pypi/zenml","ranges":["<=0.56.3"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2069","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2069","summary":"zenml-io/zenml does not expire the session after password reset","modified":"2026-07-07T17:47:57.055710126Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"zenml","purl":"pkg:pypi/zenml","ranges":["<=0.56.3"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
