{"cve":"CVE-2024-45813","nvd":{"published":"2024-09-18T17:15:19.163","modified":"2026-06-17T07:54:51.987","status":"Deferred","description":"find-my-way is a fast, open source HTTP router, internally using a Radix Tree (aka compact Prefix Tree), supports route params, wildcards, and it's framework independent. A bad regular expression is generated any time one has two parameters within a single segment, when adding a `-` at the end, like `/:a-:b-`. This may cause a denial of service in some instances. Users are advised to update to find-my-way v8.2.2 or v9.0.1. or subsequent versions. There are no known workarounds for this issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-1333"],"references":["https://blakeembrey.com/posts/2024-09-web-redos","https://github.com/delvedor/find-my-way/commit/5e9e0eb5d8d438e06a185d5e536a896572dd0440","https://github.com/delvedor/find-my-way/security/advisories/GHSA-rrr8-f88r-h8q6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:54:38.012257375+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-45813","score":0.00681,"percentile":0.52439,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-rrr8-f88r-h8q6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rrr8-f88r-h8q6","summary":"find-my-way has a ReDoS vulnerability in multiparametric routes","modified":"2024-10-07T21:52:21Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"find-my-way","purl":"pkg:npm/find-my-way","ranges":[">=5.5.0 <8.2.2"],"fixed":["8.2.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"find-my-way","purl":"pkg:npm/find-my-way","ranges":[">=9.0.0 <9.0.1"],"fixed":["9.0.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
