This\nonly requires a new helper function to infer the register type from the\nset datatype so this conditional check can be removed. Otherwise,\npointer to chain object can be leaked through the registers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/23752737c6a618e994f9a310ec2568881a6b49c4","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/40188a25a9847dbeb7ec67517174a835a677752f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/41a6375d48deaf7f730304b5153848bfa1c2980f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/461302e07f49687ffe7d105fa0a330c07c7646d8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5d43d789b57943720dca4181a05f6477362b94cf"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:53:51.317825789+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-42070","score":0.00282,"percentile":0.20496,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
