If\na reset (nvme reset or IO timeout) occurs before these commands finish,\nreconnect routine may fail to update nvme regs due to insufficient tags,\nwhich will cause kernel hang forever. In order to workaround this issue,\nmaybe we can let reg_read32()/reg_read64()/reg_write32() use reserved\ntags. This maybe safe for nvmf:\n\n1. For the disable ctrl path, we will not issue connect command\n2. For the enable ctrl / fw activate path, since connect and reg_xx()\n are called serially.\n\nSo the reserved tags may still be enough while reg_xx() use reserved tags.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/165da9c67a26f08c9b956c15d701da7690f45bcb","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7dc3bfcb4c9cc58970fff6aaa48172cb224d85aa","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cc91c461cf3902993364ea85d8814ba7786c95b1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/165da9c67a26f08c9b956c15d701da7690f45bcb","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7dc3bfcb4c9cc58970fff6aaa48172cb224d85aa"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:53:51.317825789+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-41082","score":0.00257,"percentile":0.1722,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
