Actually, one of them should be sufficient, so\njust call one of them instead of both. Also add a WARN_ON() in case\nof any problematic implementation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2884dc7d08d98a89d8d65121524bb7533183a63a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/91cff53136daeff50816b0baeafd38a6976f6209","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e8ccda39b395169622855607085cdeef4d376e0f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fa97b8fed9896f1e89cb657513e483a152d4c382","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2884dc7d08d98a89d8d65121524bb7533183a63a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-30T13:47:47.119061695+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-40909","score":0.00278,"percentile":0.20223,"date":"2026-10-30"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
