{"cve":"CVE-2024-39919","nvd":{"published":"2024-07-15T20:15:04.380","modified":"2026-06-17T07:43:01.517","status":"Deferred","description":"@jmondi/url-to-png is an open source URL to PNG utility featuring parallel rendering using Playwright for screenshots and with storage caching via Local, S3, or CouchDB. The package includes an `ALLOW_LIST` where the host can specify which services the user is permitted to capture screenshots of. By default, capturing screenshots of web services running on localhost, 127.0.0.1, or the [::] is allowed. If someone hosts this project on a server, users could then capture screenshots of other web services running locally. This issue has been addressed in version 2.1.1 with the addition of a blocklist. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":3.1},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/commit/f62ff40403ffa1781459d6be8d97b8035888c00c","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/security/advisories/GHSA-342q-2mc2-5gmp","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/commit/f62ff40403ffa1781459d6be8d97b8035888c00c","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/security/advisories/GHSA-342q-2mc2-5gmp"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:42.518321223+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-39919","score":0.00373,"percentile":0.31318,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-342q-2mc2-5gmp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-342q-2mc2-5gmp","summary":"@jmondi/url-to-png enables capture screenshot of localhost web services (unauthenticated pages)","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:16.201440765Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@jmondi/url-to-png","purl":"pkg:npm/%40jmondi/url-to-png","ranges":["<2.1.2"],"fixed":["2.1.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
