Input of the `ImageId` in the code is not sanitized and may lead to path traversal. This allows an attacker to store an image in an arbitrary location that the server has permission to access. This issue has been addressed in version 2.1.2 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/blob/e43098e0af3a380ebc044e7f303a83933b94b434/src/middlewares/extract_query_params.ts#L75","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/commit/e4eaeca6493b21cd515b582fd6c0af09ede54507","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/security/advisories/GHSA-vvmv-wrvp-9gjr","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/blob/e43098e0af3a380ebc044e7f303a83933b94b434/src/middlewares/extract_query_params.ts#L75","https://github.com/jasonraimondi/url-to-png/commit/e4eaeca6493b21cd515b582fd6c0af09ede54507"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:42.518321223+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-39918","score":0.00528,"percentile":0.447,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vvmv-wrvp-9gjr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vvmv-wrvp-9gjr","summary":"@jmondi/url-to-png contains a Path Traversal vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:16.990096613Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@jmondi/url-to-png","purl":"pkg:npm/%40jmondi/url-to-png","ranges":["<2.1.2"],"fixed":["2.1.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
