When relying on SSO providers in combination with local authentication it can be possible to enumerate existing SSO users in the instance. This is possible because if an email address exists in Directus and belongs to a known SSO provider then it will throw a \"helpful\" error that the user belongs to another provider. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.13.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/454cb534d6ffa547feb11f4d74b932ae7368dae2","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-jgf4-vwc3-r46v","https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/454cb534d6ffa547feb11f4d74b932ae7368dae2","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-jgf4-vwc3-r46v"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:52:42.518321223+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-39896","score":0.00506,"percentile":0.432,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jgf4-vwc3-r46v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jgf4-vwc3-r46v","summary":"Directus Allows Single Sign-On User Enumeration","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:16.747407652Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":[">=9.11 <10.13.0"],"fixed":["10.13.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
