A command injection vulnerability exists in the hostname parameter taken in by the provis.html endpoint. The provis.html endpoint performs no sanitization on the hostname parameter (sent by an authenticated user), which is subsequently written to disk. During boot, the hostname parameter is executed as part of a series of shell commands. Attackers can achieve remote code execution in the root context by placing shell metacharacters in the hostname parameter.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-77"],"references":["https://github.com/kwburns/CVE/blob/main/Mitel/5.0.0.1018/code/exploit-provis.py","https://github.com/kwburns/CVE/tree/main/Mitel/5.0.0.1018#authenticated-remote-command-execution-provis","https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9TQqfP5qzM","https://github.com/kwburns/CVE/blob/main/Mitel/5.0.0.1018/code/exploit-provis.py","https://github.com/kwburns/CVE/tree/main/Mitel/5.0.0.1018#authenticated-remote-command-execution-provis"],"products":["mitel:6869i_sip_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:51:20.603330631+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-37569","score":0.03199,"percentile":0.88128,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
