This causes a problem\nfor DNS resolution as the expiration set by user-space is overwritten to\nTIME64_MAX, disabling further DNS updates. Fix this by restoring the\ncondition that key_set_expiry is only called when the pre-parser sets a\nspecific expiry.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-324"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/25777f3f4e1f371d16a594925f31e37ce07b6ec7","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/939a08bcd4334bad4b201e60bd0ae1f278d71d41","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9da27fb65a14c18efd4473e2e82b76b53ba60252","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ad2011ea787928b2accb5134f1e423b11fe80a8a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cc219cb8afbc40ec100c0de941047bb29373126a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:51:20.603330631+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-36031","score":0.00747,"percentile":0.54861,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
