Remote origin iFrames in Tauri applications can access the Tauri IPC endpoints without being explicitly allowed in the `dangerousRemoteDomainIpcAccess` in v1 and in the `capabilities` in v2. Valid commands with potentially unwanted consequences (\"delete project\", \"transfer credits\", etc.) could be invoked by an attacker that controls the content of an iframe running inside a Tauri app. This vulnerability has been patched in versions 1.6.7 and 2.0.0-beta.19.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/issues/8316","https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/security/advisories/GHSA-57fm-592m-34r7","https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/issues/8316","https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/security/advisories/GHSA-57fm-592m-34r7"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:50:30.954589733+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-35222","score":0.00349,"percentile":0.28585,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-57fm-592m-34r7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-57fm-592m-34r7","summary":"iFrames Bypass Origin Checks for Tauri API Access Control","modified":"2024-05-23T16:06:39Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"tauri","purl":"pkg:cargo/tauri","ranges":["<1.6.7"],"fixed":["1.6.7"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"tauri","purl":"pkg:cargo/tauri","ranges":[">=2.0.0-beta.0 <2.0.0-beta.20"],"fixed":["2.0.0-beta.20"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
