Prior to 10.11.0, session tokens function like the other JWT tokens where they are not actually invalidated when logging out. The `directus_session` gets destroyed and the cookie gets deleted but if the cookie value is captured, it will still work for the entire expiry time which is set to 1 day by default. Making it effectively a long lived unrevokable stateless token instead of the stateful session token it was meant to be. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.11.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-613"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/a6172f8a6a0f31a6bf4305a090de172ebfb63bcf","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-g65h-35f3-x2w3","https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/a6172f8a6a0f31a6bf4305a090de172ebfb63bcf","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-g65h-35f3-x2w3"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:49:23.840078609+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-34709","score":0.0045,"percentile":0.39157,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g65h-35f3-x2w3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g65h-35f3-x2w3","summary":"Directus Lacks Session Tokens Invalidation","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:00.389765939Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":[">=10.10.0 <10.11.0"],"fixed":["10.11.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
