The bug is triggered when both `s->data_count` and the size of `s->fifo_buffer` are set to 0x200, leading to an out-of-bound access. A malicious guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service condition.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.0},"cwes":["CWE-122"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-3447","https://bugs.chromium.org/p/oss-fuzz/issues/detail?id=58813","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2274123","https://patchew.org/QEMU/20240404085549.16987-1-philmd@linaro.org/","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2025/04/msg00042.html"],"products":["netapp:hci_compute_node","qemu:qemu"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:07.693694550+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-3447","score":0.00557,"percentile":0.46433,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
