By combining two vulnerabilities (an `Open Redirect` and `session token sent as URL query parameter`) in @strapi/plugin-users-permissions before version 4.24.2, is its possible of an unauthenticated attacker to bypass authentication mechanisms and retrieve the 3rd party tokens. The attack requires user interaction (one click). Unauthenticated attackers can leverage two vulnerabilities to obtain an 3rd party token and the bypass authentication of Strapi apps. Users should upgrade @strapi/plugin-users-permissions to version 4.24.2 to receive a patch.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-294","CWE-601"],"references":["https://github.com/strapi/strapi/security/advisories/GHSA-wrvh-rcmr-9qfc","https://github.com/strapi/strapi/security/advisories/GHSA-wrvh-rcmr-9qfc"],"products":["strapi:strapi"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:51:20.603330631+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-34065","score":0.00704,"percentile":0.53342,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wrvh-rcmr-9qfc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wrvh-rcmr-9qfc","summary":"@strapi/plugin-users-permissions leaks 3rd party authentication tokens and authentication bypass","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:16.176733900Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@strapi/plugin-users-permissions","purl":"pkg:npm/%40strapi/plugin-users-permissions","ranges":["<4.24.2"],"fixed":["4.24.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
